Luxembourg - India

Lycée Josy Barthel, is a high school in Mamer, in south-western Luxembourg. It was opened in September 2003. It is named after Josy Barthel, Luxembourg's only Olympic gold medal-winner and former cabinet member.

Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan is a group of schools located in Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Coimbatore. The school was founded by Rajalakshmi Parthasarathy, also known as Dr. Mrs. Y.G. Parthasarathy, a well known educationalist.

The Team LJBM is looking forward to visiting their Indian partner school PSBB. We are enthusiastic and eager to get to know our hosts and to learn about their culture and way of life.

This project is supported by JOSY HELPS! our Projet d'établissement, which aims to foster our students' awareness about sustainable development, humanitarian aid, human rights and minority issues.

We would like to express our gratitude to the headmasters of PSBB and LJBM for their trust and support. We would also like to thank the India Team of Lycée Michel Rodange for initiating the collaboration between the schools.

The Team LJBM consists of Dishny Fernando, representative of LJBM, Esther Herr, Professor of Fine Arts, Roland Herrmann, Professor of Architecture and member of the school board, and Manuel Morn, Professor of Engineering.

This year the following students have been selected to represent LJBM in Chennai: Anna Meyers, Lisa Günther,

Jimmy Gomes and Louis Weber.
